For 16 years, I worked for the educational arm of the hospitality industry, the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. I wrote seminars, textbooks, workbooks, case studies, video guides and any other print piece that needed creating. The vice president of my department encouraged me to take on freelance projects with association partners whenever the association was unable to commit to the project. I formed many solid, working relationships with such organizations as The Club Managers Association of America and the International SPA Association.
Since leaving EI, I have continued to freelance for them and for the National Restaurant Association.
