Spas and hospitality have long been in my blood.
For 16 years, I was a staff writer/editor for the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). Both in that position and as a freelancer, I wrote textbooks, case studies, workbooks and training materials for the International SPA Association (ISPA). As part of that work, starting in 2002, I interviewed many of America’s spa pioneers and visited some of the top spa resorts in the country. I also wrote for the National Restaurant Association and contributed to AHLEI as a freelancer.
As of June 2021, I am Spa & Beauty Today‘s local correspondent for Michigan and the Midwest. I write spa profiles and diaries along with travel articles about hotels and weekend getaway sites. I write for numerous other travel sites including TravelMag.com and Explore.com
